Ministries

Deacons are members of the diaconate. They occupy the lone nonpastoral office of the Church. The term or title Deacon is translated "servant". According to Scripture, Deacons must be men of good reputation and full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom (Acts 6:3). Deacon Ronnie McCulloh is the current president of the PHMBC Deacon's Ministry. 

The Pastor’s Aid Ministry is a ministry within the Church that is responsible for supporting the spiritual, moral and financial needs of the Pastor and his family.  The Pastor's Aid Ministry is comprised of a collaboration of ministry leaders and church members into one ministry tasked with the support, encouragement and assistance to the Pastor.  The current president of the Pastor's Aid Ministry is Sister Joy Burton-Heard

"Study to show thyself approved unto God..." (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV). Christian Education, Sunday School in particular, is an integral component of the Body of Christ. The Sunday School Superintendent is responsible for recruiting and training Christian Educators, developing new classes and the administration of the Sunday School Department. At PHMBC, we offer Sunday School classes for youth, young adults men and women. Sister Sandretta Cook is the current PHMBC Sunday School Superintendent.  

Every Blood-Washed, Born-Again Believer must be involved in some area or aspect of Christian mission. As Christ's Disciples, we have been commanded and commissioned to "go and make more disciples". The Church must be mission-minded. She has no other option or choice. The PHMBC Missionary Ministry is responsible for out-reach and evangelism. Sister Sandra Murphy is the current president of the PHMBC Missionary Ministry.  

The Church Clerk is responsible for keeping accurate records and minutes of Church meetings, writing official correspondences of the Church and for maintaining the Church membership roll. Sister Jeffunda Hoggs is PHMBC's Church Clerk. 

The PHMBC Mother's Board Ministry is a Board of women we affectionately address as Mother. These women have been long standing, supportive members of their Church. The Mother's Ministry is responsible for assisting and mentoring the younger ladies of the Church and for hosting church functions/activities for the membership. Mother Catherine Hutchinson is the current president of the PHMBC Mother's Board Ministry.
